The Principal Expeditor will interpret internal or external business issues and recommend best practices. They will solve complex expediting-related problems and work independently with minimal guidance.
Requirements
- Supervise the team to identify supplier performance gaps
- Execute expediting strategy to track the movement of project materials and deliverables
- Liaise with Logistics and Package Management teams
- Review purchase order delivery requirements
- Identify and understand levels of required expediting and actions workload
- Input consistent and timely updates in the Company system
- Ensure the Supplier’s timely delivery of all items on Purchase Orders
- Work with procurement management to identify performance gaps and delays
- Notify and collaborate with Logistics subject matter experts on material movements
- Maintain and promote a focus on the company’s end-product
- Ensure effective communications among procurement disciplines, clients, project teams, and suppliers
- Understand and consistently use expediting procedures as established in company policies
- Participate in projects to assess or develop new Expediting tools as assigned
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the contract
- Drive accurate and timely project status reporting process and weekly expediting reports
