LSF is looking for talented Youth Mentors who want to make an impact in the lives of at-risk youth in our male group homes. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who would be comfortable working with at-risk adolescent males and can provide a supportive environment for youth.
Requirements
- Provide a supportive environment for youth
- Assist adolescents with daily routine tasks
- Transport and supervise residents on outside activities
- Develop and implement daily recreational and social activities
- Consult and communicate with shift leaders and supervisors
- Participate in various in-service training sessions and staff meetings
- Assign and supervise chores and perform light housekeeping duties
- Document incidents and maintain daily written records and logs
- Provide instruction on appropriate behaviors and independent living skills
- Observe and document the behavior, development, and needs of adolescents
