Lutheran Services Florida is looking for talented Youth Mentors to make an impact in the lives of at-risk youth in our male group homes.

Requirements

Provide a supportive environment for youth
Assists adolescents with daily routine tasks
Transports individuals and groups of adolescents for appointments or field trips
Provide daily security and up-keep of facility
Develops and participates in daily recreational and social activities
Consults and communicates with shift leaders, supervisors, and professional staff
Participates in the implementation and monitoring of client case plans
Assign and supervise chores and perform light housekeeping duties
Interviews and responds to critical incidents and emergencies
Assists with the initial intakes and discharge of youth
Document incidents and behavior of adolescents
Provides instruction on appropriate behaviors and independent living skills
Maintains daily written records and logs of observations and concerns about individual adolescents
