Job Description
As a Transformer Technician, you will work in a shop and field environment, developing your technical and mechanical skills to repair or recondition dry-type and liquid-filled transformers. You will be part of a team of qualified technicians rebuilding industrial transformers in a fast-paced, hard-working environment.
Requirements
- Evaluation, disassembly, reconditioning, and reassembly of electrical transformers
- Removing/replacing accessories, cleaning and repairing parts, replacing gaskets and seals
- Basic MIG welding and metal fabrication
- Basic electrical testing, inventory evaluation, paint and quality control procedures
