Job Description
Maddox is seeking a Transformer Technician to work in a shop environment reconditioning dry-type and liquid-filled transformers. The ideal candidate has technical and mechanical skills, and a strong work ethic. As a technician, you will be part of a team of qualified technicians who rebuild industrial transformers, and will be trained in basic electrical testing, inventory evaluation, paint, and quality control procedures.
Requirements
- Evaluation, disassembly, reconditioning, and reassembly of electrical transformers
- Removing/replacing accessories, cleaning and repairing parts, replacing gaskets and seals
- Basic MIG welding and metal fabrication
- Basic electrical testing
- Inventory evaluation, paint, and quality control procedures
