Deputy Manager - Safety

Assist in the development and improvement of HSE systems, execute HSE strategy, manage risks, and ensure compliance with statutory and client safety regulations.

Requirements

• Assist in Formulation and Enhancement of HSE Systems
• Aid in the development and improvement of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems
• Ensure HSE systems meet all statutory requirements and client expectations
• Support the implementation of the HSE strategy for the project
• Ensure the HSE strategy aligns with organizational and project objectives
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with workplace activities
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments in collaboration with the team
• Ensure proper implementation of the Management of Change (MoC) process for all modifications
• Ensure adherence to statutory and client safety regulations
• Ensure strict adherence to PTW (Permit to Work) guidelines for all maintenance and production activities requiring permits
• Carry out regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
• Investigate accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis
• Develop corrective measures and preventive actions to avoid recurrence
• Educate employees on Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) guidelines through regular training sessions
• Foster a culture of safety, ensuring employees follow SHE rules and actively report unsafe observations, conditions, and near misses
• Collaborate with the team to meet sustainability targets
• Prepare and update Safety Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they are current and effective
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for safety operations and procedures
• Calculate, analyze, and report statistics related to safety performance parameters
• Provide insights for continuous improvement
