Job Description
Mainspring Energy is revolutionizing power generation with their Mainspring Linear Generator, a flexible and adaptable onsite power generator. They are seeking a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to focus on electrical enclosures and cables, improving functionality and system-level performance. This role involves leading engineering projects, guiding technical decisions, and mentoring cross-functional teams to ensure electrical subsystems meet requirements from concept to manufacturing launch.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering field from an accredited institution
- Proven experience taking ownership of electrical enclosure and/or cable design
- Strong expertise in sheet metal design for medium-volume production
- A solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and thermal modeling
- Extensive experience in SolidWorks and PDM (or a similar CAD version control system)
