MaintainX is seeking a Director of Software Development for its Platform division to define the platform engineering roadmap and operational model, leading a team of software development managers and establishing engineering standards. The role requires over 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in engineering leadership, and solid technical depth in distributed systems, backend or mobile frameworks, platform engineering or reliability engineering.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience
• Over 5 years in engineering leadership
• At least 2 years managing managers and multiple teams
• Solid technical depth in at least two of the following domains: distributed systems, backend or mobile frameworks, platform engineering or reliability engineering
• Demonstrated experience in leading platform- or infrastructure-focused teams in a SaaS B2B growth-stage company
• AI-focused vision
• Systemic thinking to identify organizational bottlenecks and eliminate them without creating new ones
• Excellent communication skills
