Mar-Bella Collection is looking for a passionate Commis Pastry Chef to join the Elix hotel team in Perdika, Thesprotia, Greece. The ideal candidate will assist the Pastry Chef in preparing and baking desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked goods.
Requirements
- Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing and baking desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked goods.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency in quality and taste.
- Prepare ingredients and equipment for daily service, including scaling, measuring, and mixing.
- Ensure the kitchen and workstations are clean and well-maintained, following health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control and stock rotation to maintain freshness of products.
- Learn and apply the techniques used by the Pastry Chef to contribute to the creativity and innovation of new desserts.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Basic understanding of pastry techniques and baking processes.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for pastry arts.
- Creative and eager to learn new skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to take initiative.
- A diploma or certificate in pastry arts or culinary studies is advantageous.
