Job Description
MarketAxess is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to support EMEA and APAC businesses by providing proactive compliance advisory coverage. The successful candidate will help the firm manage compliance and financial crime risks while enabling business growth in a complex regulatory environment.
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in financial services compliance or a related control function
- Strong knowledge of MiFID II, including market structure, algorithmic trading, regulatory reporting, outsourcing, and market abuse frameworks
- Deep understanding of UK and/or EU financial services regulation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commercial judgment, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively under pressure
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including experience mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
