Job Description
Sr. Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems and equipment in mines, troubleshooting, safety, and potentially leading projects.
Requirements
- Reasonable knowledge of electrical code and installation procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical malfunctions in various systems and equipment.
- Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Previous experience in 2400V; 480 – 3 phase motor controls and system operation.
- Knowledge of PLC systems and programming.
- Able to read electrical blueprints.
- Journeymen Electrician card preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or 12 months as an Electrician A at Gabbs mine.
- Troubleshoot effectively with a minimum of supervision.
- Furnish own hand tools.
- Experience in mining is helpful.
- Thoroughly familiar with all aspects of safety in the electrical field.
- Capable of working with a minimum of supervision.
- Welding and fabrication knowledge a plus but not required.
