CNC Lathe Setup Operator 1st Shift

Martin Sprocket & Gear is a progressive leader in the Power Transmission and Bulk Material Handling Industry. We are looking for engaged individuals to work as CNC Lathe Setup Operators on the 1st shift.

Requirements

• Setup and operate CNC Lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, bar feeder, live tooling.
• Optimize set up times, maximize machine utilization.
• Ability to run CNC vertical mills/robo drills.
• Understand specifications of the tasks by reading blueprints, route instructions.
• Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Troubleshoot programs and make adjustments when needed.
• Setup CNC lathe machines to complete full cycles to produce a high and low volume of parts, improve productivity, maintain offsets and inspect parts with a high degree of precision.
• Follow in-process part inspection process, notify Supervisor/Lead on the occurrence of non-conformance.
• Communicate with superintends, managers, production control, quality personnel for assignments, and resolve quality issues.
• Document all issues written to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
• Check and perform preventive maintenance daily.
