The CNC Machinist III will be responsible for set up and operations of CNC Mill and Lathe machines used in Manufacturing and Fabrication of aircraft/military components.
Requirements
- Strong focus on SAFETY FIRST.
- Able to use the latest technology in 5 axis with focus on “Lights out machining” (Probing / Break detection,...)
- Knowledge of fixturing and tooling design.
- Editing in MDI, preferred with Mazak, Okuma,Fanuc, Siemens controllers.
- Set-up tools and prove out CNC programs as needed.
- Strong comunication skills, wear PPE at all times.
- Utilize ERP system to accurately record labor hours and production quantity.
- Suggests recommendations to Leads/Supervisor concerning process improvements.
- Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds and feeds of machining.
- Understanding of lean, Kaizen and 6S concepts.
- Performs routine daily maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Can do attitude, continuous improvement.
