Job Description
Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer treatments to patients under the direction of a radiation oncologist and the supervisor, therapy & imaging. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited program in radiation therapy technology, 2 years of clinical experience, and be eligible for ARRT certification.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in radiation therapy technology or suitable equivalent
- 2 years clinical experience as a radiation therapist preferred but not required
- ARRT eligible or current registry as RT(T) and licensed by the Louisiana Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners
- CPR required
- Computer skills and exposure to various Elekta & Varian treatment machines preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
