Painter I

The Massachusetts Veterans Home (MVH) at Chelsea is seeking a Painter I to assist with painting and preparing surfaces for painting and other finishes. The successful candidate will assist with and participate in the application of paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of the tools, materials, methods, and standard practices used in the trade.
• Considerable ability to understand and execute general oral and written orders without immediate supervision.
• Considerable skill in the application of paints and other finishes by brush or air gun, and in mixing and matching paints.
