Job Description
The Metro Boston Area Department of Mental Health (DMH) is currently hiring for the position of Security Team Specialist I. This role involves patrolling buildings and grounds, maintaining order among visitors and staff, and providing personal protection to individuals. The Security Team Specialist I will also be responsible for coordinating the maintenance of hospital firefighting equipment, alarm systems, and other safeguards.
Requirements
- Skill to deal tactfully with others and interact with individuals who are under physical and/or emotional stress.
- Capability to maintain a calm composure in stressful and emergency situations.
- Ability to make decisions and acting quickly in dangerous or emergency situations.
- Capacity to exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated proficiency in gathering information through questioning individuals, conducting interviews, and gathering information by examining records and documents.
- Ability to lift persons or heavy objects.
