Job Description
The Metro Boston Area Department of Mental Health is hiring for a Security Team Specialist I position. The successful candidate will perform various security duties, including patrolling buildings, maintaining order among visitors and staff, and providing personal protection to individuals. The position requires a calm composure in stressful situations, ability to make quick decisions, and exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
Requirements
- Skill to deal tactfully with others and interact with individuals who are under physical and/or emotional stress
- Capability to maintain a calm composure in stressful and emergency situations
- Ability to make decisions and acting quickly in dangerous or emergency situations
- Capacity to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
- Demonstrated proficiency in gathering information through questioning individuals, conducting interviews, and gathering information by examining records and documents
- Ability to lift persons or heavy objects
