The Senior Bridge Rater (Civil Engineer IV) performs Live Load Capacity calculations of bridges of substantial complexity using AASHTO specifications and MassDOT standards and prepares rating reports for these bridges.

Requirements

• Performs Live Load Capacity calculations of bridges of substantial complexity using AASHTO specifications as well as MassDOT Standards and prepares rating reports for these bridges.
• Reviews Live Load Capacity calculations of bridges of substantial complexity prepared by the Consultants using AASHTO specifications and reviews rating reports for these bridges.
• Performs Overload Capacity calculations of bridges of substantial complexity using AASHTO specifications and MassDOT standards and prepares overload reports for these bridges.
• Reviews Overload Capacity calculations of bridges of substantial complexity prepared by the Consultants using AASHTO specifications and reviews overload reports for these bridges.
