Superintendent (Heavy Civil/Structures)

The MasTec Civil Structures Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing structural aspects of roadway construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution. The role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities, maintaining project schedules and budgets, and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Attend all required pre job meetings
• Review the scope of each project with the Project Manager and Area Manager prior to beginning work
• Communicate and maintain a good working relationship with FDOT, inspectors, subcontractors and owners
• Ensure that all work is completed according to the specifications for the project
• Manage the local union relationship
• Supervise all on site employees for assigned projects
• Ensure that all EEO requirements are being met or good faith efforts are being made to meet those requirements and that the efforts are documented
• Complete all paperwork as required
• Guarantee that all required materials and equipment are on site as scheduled/needed
• Oversee that the work, including the work of Subcontractors, is being done in compliance with OSHA Standards and company policies
