Work as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Journeyperson under the direction of a Foreman, performing duties in a refinery environment with a focus on safety and quality control.
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years' maintenance experience in refinery environment
- Thorough understanding of industrial maintenance type work and expertise in basic hand tools
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols
- Ability to assemble and disassemble refinery equipment
- Ability to proficiently run several types of equipment (forklifts, manlifts, etc.)
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to logically diagnose and solve complex equipment issues independently
- Must be able to pass an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Craft proficiency test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft
- Must obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing program
- Must pass background check
- Must have TWIC card
- Must have a 20-hour high hazard facility training card
- Must have Verification of 8,000 craft related hours OR Graduated journeyperson status preferred
