Job Description
The Advanced Rigger is responsible for preparation, installation and operation of rigging gear and equipment such as slings, chokers chains, hoists and come alongs; prepares components for lifting by cranes, forklift or similar operated lifting equipment.
Requirements
- Receives and understands instructions and prints regarding work assignment
- Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions with respect to proper installation and operation of rigging gear and equipment
- Inspects rigging gear and equipment for suitability for use prior to performing any lifting, lowering or pulling operations
- Interprets lift plans and prepares components for lift including installation and inspection of lifting devices and rigging gear
- Identifies safety hazards and takes all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize
- Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job
