Job Description
The licensed plumber is responsible for designing, planning, constructing, installing, and repairing all aspects of water and drainage systems to ensure public health and safety. This includes installing plumbing fixtures, working with various pipe materials, maintaining a safe work environment, and complying with building and plumbing codes.
Requirements
- Install all plumbing systems and supports
- Install lavatories, toilets, urinals, and cafeteria plumbing fixtures
- Install drinking fountains
- Install storm drainage systems
- Install sanitary sewer systems and potable water systems
- Practice on the job safety
- Identify obstructions and identify dangerous conditions
- Comply with building and plumbing codes
- Test all plumbing systems
- Ability to read design drawings
