Bilingual Legal Assistant - Real Estate Law

We are recruiting a Bilingual Legal Assistant specializing in business and real estate law to join our team in our Montreal office. The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience as a legal assistant and will be responsible for assisting lawyers with their schedules, formatting documents, and numerous other administrative and legal tasks.

Requirements

• Legal assistant diploma or equivalent
• At least three years’ experience as a legal assistant (real estate law, financial services, or securities are an asset)
• Bilingualism (French and English, oral and written)
• Extensive knowledge of legal terminology along with court rules and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and superior word-processing, spelling, proofreading and editing skills
• Ability to complete tasks with speed and accuracy
• Strong time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure to meet important deadlines
• Ability to follow up on files and delays with minimal supervision
• Highest level of discretion and confidentiality
• Considerable flexibility to work overtime when needed
