Intermediate Marine Structural Engineer

McElhanney is seeking an Intermediate Marine Structural Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will provide design, engineering, site inspections, and construction support for marine structural projects, and lead projects as Engineer of Record and Project Manager.

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of related design experience in marine structures
• Registration in good standing as a P.Eng. in British Columbia
• Proven delivery of marine structural projects for public and private clients
• Knowledge & experience with Canadian codes for steel, concrete and aluminum design, and familiarity with international marine codes and standards.
• Proficiency with structural engineering software, including SAP2000
• Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals and clients
• Project management and proposal writing experience
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility to manage priorities
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel; capable of quickly learning new software programs
