Pharmacy Technician (Certified) - Pharmacy - Medication History

The Certified Pharmacy Technician will obtain patient home medication lists, document in the electronic medical record, and communicate relevant medication and allergy information to a pharmacist. They will also assist with troubleshooting pharmacy equipment and promote the safe and effective use of hospital and pharmacy technology.

Requirements

• Obtain patient home medication lists from relevant sources
• Document patient home medication lists, allergy information, and preferred pharmacy in the electronic medical record
• Communicate relevant medication and allergy information to a pharmacist and/or other members of the healthcare team
• Troubleshoot pharmacy printers, copiers, and fax machines
• Assist the Pharmacist in the Operation of the Inpatient Drug Distribution System
