Billing Specialist II

The MediaNews Group is looking for a Billing Specialist II to join our team, responsible for billing processes for all properties owned by the company.

Requirements

• Generate advertising billing files for assigned properties
• Perform month-end processing
• Manage "wrong rate" and "rating error" queues in Mactive
• Review the accuracy of contracts and rates entered by SSC
• Transmit statement files to Shoom for eInvoicing
• Research and troubleshoot complex billing discrepancies or internal inquiries
• Coordinate system testing, software upgrades, and subsequent data entry training for new team members
• Assist with unapplied payments and financial adjustments
• Support departmental cleanup projects, standardization tasks, and documentation audits
