Job Description
A sonographer uses ultrasound high-frequency sound waves to take images of the body's internal organs and tissues to assist doctors with diagnosing and monitoring a variety of conditions and diseases.
Requirements
- Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- 0-2 years of work experience
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
