Physician Coder: Neurosurgery

MedKoder, LLC is seeking a Physician Coder: Neurosurgery to review and accurately code professional services in compliance with applicable Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer guidelines. The successful candidate will have recent experience specializing in neurosurgery coding, E/M services, and Interventional Neurology.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Successful completion of at least one AHIMA or AAPC-certified program
• Minimum of 3 years of physician coding experience in Neurosurgery
• Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, disease processes, CPT coding and guidelines, ICD-10-CM coding and guidelines, modifiers, surgical techniques, and Medicare (CMS/MAC) and Medicaid billing policies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, and electronic healthcare record information and billing systems
