Senior Network Operations Engineer

Megaport is a global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We're seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join our team in Brisbane, Queensland.

Requirements

• Passionate about scalable networking with an interest in automation and software
• Experience working on large global networks and an intimate knowledge of routing protocols and label switching
• Experience with SDN and cloud-based networking concepts
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Focused on delivering a high-quality end-user experience
• Proven experience in network incident resolution, mitigation, deployment, and maintenance
• Production experience with IS-IS, BGP, MPLS Traffic Engineering, and MPLS Layer 2/3 VPNs
• Production experience operating optical networks, particularly with DWDM and ROADM systems
• Hands-on experience with Juniper and Cisco hardware platforms
• Experience with the Opengear platform for out-of-band management
• Experience managing network hardware installations and single-mode fibre patching in third-party data centres
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting in Perl or Python
• Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Able to work effectively in dynamic environments
• Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a remote team
