Job Description
The Psychiatry Residency Program Director must administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas. The Program Director reports directly to the Department Chair.
Requirements
- Administration & Academic Service (50%): maintaining a clinical and educational work environment, overseeing quality of didactic and clinical education, approving program faculty, and monitoring resident supervision.
- Teaching (10%): supervision of residents and medical students, presentation of grand rounds, and participation in didactic series in psychiatry.
- Service (10%): participation on institutional, departmental, community committees, and organizations.
- Clinical Practice (30%): maintaining a clinical service/supervision in Psychiatry, inpatient consultation, outpatient clinics, addiction services.
