Job Description
MHA in Orange County is seeking a Crisis Call Center Counselor to provide 24/7 support to callers in need. This is a part-time, per diem position ideal for individuals interested in crisis intervention and community service. The role involves assisting individuals facing emotional distress and connecting them with appropriate resources.
Requirements
- Answer crisis calls while maintaining clinical service levels.
- Provide evidence-informed information and referral, brief supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention support.
- Utilize resource referral databases to provide information and referral assistance.
- Follow up to high-risk callers reporting suicidal and/or homicidal thoughts.
- Complete shift reports and gather data during shift.
- Adhere to HIPAA and MHA confidentiality policies.
