Job Description
Mercy Corps seeks a Finance Officer to work in Popayán, Colombia, reviewing and processing financial transactions, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The position requires 3 years of experience in financial or administrative roles, with strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting systems.
Requirements
- Professional in financial, administrative or related areas
- Three (3) years of experience in similar roles or related areas, preferably in the humanitarian sector
- Management of accounting systems
- Strong computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, double entry
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Preferred knowledge of Sphere standards and other humanitarian response training
