The WASH Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the hygiene promotion and sanitation components of the HACAP Program in Kelafo Woreda, Shebele Zone, Somali region.
Requirements
- BSc degree in Environmental health, Public Health, or related fields
- Minimum of 4 years of experience implementing WASH programs in humanitarian or development contexts
- Demonstrated experience in hygiene promotion, sanitation, SBCC, and community mobilization
- Previous experience with WASH NFI distribution and WASH-related assessments is an asset
- Experience working closely with local government offices, WASH clusters, and community-based structures
- Good understanding of international humanitarian standards (SPHERE, WHO) and national WASH guidelines
- Excellent team and interpersonal relationship skills, especially in a cross-cultural setting
- Ability to take directions, follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capability
- Proficiency in English (required); Understanding local language is an asset
