Methods is a £100M+ IT Services Consultancy who has partnered with a range of central government departments and agencies to transform the way the public sector operates in the UK. They are recruiting for a User Researcher on a permanent basis. The role involves championing the user, planning and conducting user research, collaborating with the product team, and promoting user-centered design principles and best practice within government.
Requirements
- Championing the user
- Planning and conducting user research, developing recruitment briefs, analysis and presentation of findings
- Collaborating with the product team to turn research findings into prototypes and features that meet the user need
- Presenting research findings, user insight and recommendations to the product team
- Promoting user centered design principles and best practice within government
- Designing, scripting and analysing quantitative surveys
- Undertaking qualitative/quantitative research projects such as proposition development, visual identity and customer experience mapping
- Applying relevant knowledge in human factors, ethnography, and the user-centered design process to product and service design
- Managing day-to-day operations with usability and market research agencies with accountability for schedules, value for money and deliverables
