The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) provides advanced nursing care and clinical leadership in a comprehensive behavioral health program. The ARNP will practice autonomously within the scope of their license under Washington law, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychiatric Nursing
- A minimum of 2 years' experience treating patients with substance use disorders in an inpatient setting
- Active WA ARNP license, with prescriptive authority and without any restrictions
- Advanced understanding of medications prescribed in the treatment of substance use disorders
- Two years of direct work as a Psychiatric/Behavioral Nurse Practitioner
- Active WA DEA license
- Experience in behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use disorders), including outpatient services and MAT
- Ability to manage complex clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Knowledge of symptom management and mental health disorders
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of the Pierce County public mental health system and community resources
