Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner

The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) provides advanced nursing care and clinical leadership in a comprehensive behavioral health program. The ARNP will practice autonomously within the scope of their license under Washington law, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Psychiatric Nursing
• A minimum of 2 years' experience treating patients with substance use disorders in an inpatient setting
• Active WA ARNP license, with prescriptive authority and without any restrictions
• Advanced understanding of medications prescribed in the treatment of substance use disorders
• Two years of direct work as a Psychiatric/Behavioral Nurse Practitioner
• Active WA DEA license
• Experience in behavioral health (mental health and/or substance use disorders), including outpatient services and MAT
• Ability to manage complex clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
• Knowledge of symptom management and mental health disorders
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of the Pierce County public mental health system and community resources
