Job Description
This position writes, programs, or edits existing programs, performs set up and operates numerically controlled machinery to produce quality parts at cost and on time. Requires expertise and proficiency to effectively program, setup and operate VMC, HMC utilizing 3,4 or 5 axis as required.
Requirements
- Program CNC code using in-house software (GibbsCam), machine conversational programming, or other acceptable software to machine a quality part to print within the time allocated
- Successfully perform all duties of machine setup including identifying and using fixtures, holding devices, tool selection and setting tools with tool offsets
- Operate the machine safely and effectively by monitoring operations and making adjustments necessary to programs, holding devices or tooling to ensure a quality part is produced
