Event Coordinator

The Event Coordinator plans, coordinates, and facilitates events at a Michaels store, providing a stress-free and fun experience for guests. The role requires excellent customer service, event planning, and organizational skills.

Requirements

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once
• Engage with clients of all ages
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons
• Communicate events with clients and store team members
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and making phone calls
• Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards
• Help customers shop and provide them with solutions
• Provide fast and friendly check out experience
• Participate in the truck un-load, stocking and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs
