As a Team Member at Michaels, you will plan and coordinate events, deliver friendly customer service, and complete operational tasks to deliver a stress-free and engaging experience for guests. You will also help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions, as well as uphold the company's cleanliness and safety standards.
Requirements
- Plan and coordinate events, including kids' birthday parties and other craft classes or events
- Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop and find products
- Complete operational tasks, including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards
- Engage with clients of all ages and create an environment of fun and creativity
- Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and perform face painting and other activities
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons, such as goody bags and balloons
- Communicate events with clients and store team members
- Complete administrative tasks, such as answering emails and making phone calls
- Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs
- Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed
- Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
- Uphold the company's cleanliness and safety standards
- Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event
- Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
- Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
- Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
- Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
- Support shrink and safety programs
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs
- Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner
- Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
- Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
