Environmental Engineer - Water Program

The Environmental Engineer – Water Program is responsible for managing and improving water and wastewater systems that support semiconductor manufacturing operations at Micron’s Manassas facility.

Requirements

• Manage environmental compliance and performance for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems in support of fab operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permit requirements related to water programs.
• Monitor system performance, analyze environmental data, and identify opportunities to improve water efficiency and sustainability.
• Support operation and optimization of water treatment, recycling, and discharge systems in partnership with Facilities and Operations teams.
• Prepare regulatory reports, permit applications, and internal documentation; support audits and inspections as required.
• Investigate environmental incidents or deviations, perform root‐cause analysis, and lead corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in water‐related capital projects, upgrades, and system modifications to support manufacturing growth and reliability.
• Promote environmental stewardship and safe work practices by influencing best‐known methods and compliance awareness.
