Job Description
The Emergency Department Technician (ED Technician) delivers patient care in the Emergency Department, under the supervision of Registered Nurses. This role involves preforming patient care tasks in a fast-paced setting, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality. It also involves assisting patients with various conditions and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
Requirements
- Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
- Completes annual organizational-required and/or job-required educational requirements.
- Maintains regulatory requirements.
- Attends staff meetings and reads meeting minutes.
- Adheres to infection control procedures.
- Obtains current BLS, Current licensure.
- Wears identification while on duty.
- Follows infection control procedures.
- Maintains supply of wheelchairs
