Job Description
This Med Lab Tech/MT position is for a Per Diem role performing routine laboratory testing. The role involves specimen entry, computerization, quality control, patient interaction, and maintaining cleanliness. The position requires adherence to hospital policies and infection control procedures, and ongoing training. Reporting to supervisor on assigned time, completing assigned tasks, and performing duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a relevant field (laboratory science or related) or Medical Laboratory Technician certification
- Current ASCP or MLT student completion of MLT program (ASCP or student certification)
- At least twelve months of internship experience or Medical Laboratory Technician student rotation
- Evidence of lab checking skills
- Strong computerization skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in various lab conditions
- CPR proficiency
- Understanding of MVH safety procedures
