Job Description
We are seeking a Full time Bengali Interpreter & Translator to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a full UK driver’s license, Enhanced CRB clearance, and be fluent in English and Bengali. The role requires consecutive interpretation and translation in various settings, including mental health, GP practices, hospitals, and more.
Requirements
- MA in Interpreting / Translation / Linguistics
- BA in Interpreting / Translation / Linguistics
- DPSI – Diploma in Public Services Interpreting
- Community Interpreting Certificate – Level 3
- Other equivalent UK & overseas interpreting qualifications
- Minimum 1 year’s professional experience as an interpreter
- Minimum 200 hours previous experience working as an interpreter in the public sector
- Fluent in English and Bengali
- Current, valid Enhanced CRB clearance
