Job Description
As a Power System Operations Engineer I, you will work collaboratively to make complex and quick decisions in MISO's Real Time Operations group. You will be responsible for learning and maintaining the accuracy and availability of one of the most important Energy Management Systems (EMS) in the Eastern Interconnection.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology
- The ability and willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule
- Experience in Utility, transmission operations, real-time operations, or a related field (preferable)
- Previous Energy Management System (EMS) experience (preferable)
- Transient/Voltage stability experience (preferable)
- Programming Experience in C, C++, VBA, Perl, Python (preferable)
