Job Description
The Security Officer will interact with visitors in a positive and welcoming manner, provide directions and information related to the Museum collection, public programs, and events. The role will also involve conducting opening and closing procedures, performing patrols, and reporting safety concerns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- New York State Guard License
- CPR/AED/FSD and/or Fire Guard certification
- A minimum of one-year security or customer service experience
- Prior museum/art-related experience
- Fluency in languages in addition to English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain professional demeanor
- Detail oriented, with the capability to work under minimal supervision
