Supervises activity within an assigned area, ensuring all security officers adhere to established departmental policies. Manages and responds to all emergencies within the assigned location. Responsible for following departmental guidelines to safeguard people, property, and assets.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
- New York State Guard License
- CPR/AED/FSD certification preferred
- Three to five years lead or supervisory experience
- Minimum five years experience in the Security field
- Experience in cultural, educational, or large public access locations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to supervise security officers, to handle emergency situations, and to multitask as a console operator
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as the Google Workspace software suite and other standard office procedures and equipment
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time
- Demonstrated knowledge of security practices, including emergency response
- Basic first aid/CPR knowledge and AED certification
- Applied knowledge of fire-life-safety systems and other related security devices
