The Electrical Controls Engineer will lead and support activities including PLC programming, electrical design power and control, evaluation, construction, startup, troubleshooting, and documentation of components to support New Product Introductions (NPIs) and process development by the Quartz Technology Team. The position will also support existing process equipment and systems utilized by the Quartz Technology Team to modify raw materials and create and test fused products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years of control experience in a manufacturing work environment.
- Previous experience in GE90-30 90-70 PLC and Proficiency Machine Edition programming environment, HMI programming, GE QuickPanel.
- Current experience with Aveva Intouch Scanda environment for Plant Process Monitoring, developing screens, and adding data tags.
- Placement, servicing, and communications of process/equipment monitoring and control devices.
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of high power and high current applications such as power transistors and SCRs.
- Current expertise with AutoCAD 2019 or higher to create new and existing schematics.
- Excellent communication both written and verbal.
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Proven organizational and teamwork skills within a manufacturing environment.
