Financial Operations Analyst

moneyGenius is a proudly Atlantic Canadian company that provides fintech products and educational content to Canadians. They are seeking a Financial Operations Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the day-to-day accounting, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial statements and reports. The role will also involve developing and enforcing financial documents, policies, and internal controls, as well as collaborating with the Sr. Finance Manager to develop financial strategies.

Requirements

• BA in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in a finance and accounting role within a tech startup, or fast-growing company environment
• CPA designation, working towards one, or relevant hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and provincial laws, regulations, and ordinances pertaining to finance and accounting best practices
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and highly capable with spreadsheets and financial modeling tools
• Strong data analysis skills with proven experience using data visualization and reporting tools
