Job Description
Be part of the Future of Environmental Solutions at Montrose Environmental as a Vegetation and Wetland Ecologist. The role involves working on interesting environmental projects, solving challenges in your community, and progressing technical and project management skills. You will join our Western Terrestrial Services Team in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, and be involved in a broad range of projects.
Requirements
- Degree or technical diploma in environmental science, ecology, biology or other related fields
- Minimum of six (6) years previous environmental consulting experience
- Registration in a professional organization
- Experience working in different ecosystems including native grasslands and the boreal forest
- Experience conducting wetland assessment and regulatory reporting in Alberta
- Experience with rare plant surveys, ecological land classification, habitat quality assessments, and invasive species/weed monitoring and management
- Physical capacity for strenuous fieldwork
- Comfortable using advanced GPS units or tablets
- Experience with off-highway vehicles and trailer towing
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
