As a Junior Vegetation & Wetlands Ecologist, you'll contribute to meaningful environmental work that supports responsible development, ecological stewardship, and future-focused decision-making. Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Botany, Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field with demonstrated wetlands focus.
- More than 2 years of plant identification experience across prairie, boreal, and wetland ecosystems.
- Experience in ecological consulting or equivalent environmental experience.
- Proven capability in wetland mapping, delineation, and classification (AB/SK wetland systems, aerial imagery interpretation).
- Familiarity with GIS tools for spatial review, desktop analysis, and ecological mapping.
- Understanding of environmental regulatory frameworks and guidelines relevant to western Canada.
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary environmental teams.
- Eligibility or registration with a professional association (e.g., P.Biol., P.Ag., R.T.Biol.) in Alberta or Saskatchewan.
- A valid Class 5 driverâs licence (non-GDL).
