Design Phase Engineer I and II - Power Delivery

Mortenson is seeking a Design Phase Engineer I and II to provide support to project leadership during the design phase, with opportunities at both levels 1 and 2.

Requirements

• Support project team in achieving scope and budget alignment, schedule alignment, integrated team experience, construction readiness, and excellent financial performance
• Create and manage project schedules and key milestones, hold team members accountable for reaching set milestones
• Assist in regulatory approval and permitting process
• Identify technical design and specification concerns, escalate as needed to achieve resolution
• Provide meaningful recommendations to project's programming and conceptual design activities, ensuring constructability and logistics solutions in project design
• Coordinate with integrated construction team to incorporate BIM/VDC modeling technology into project design phase
• Assist with project proposal development
• Prepare bid packages and contract manuals for subcontractors and suppliers in conjunction with project planning team
• Analyze and track LEED requirements
• Coordinate document and electronic interface processing
• Model and set the tone for extraordinary customer relations
• Gathering feedback and clarification during design process, and identify future projects
